Eduardo Bertoni is a recognized privacy and technology and rights issues, with extensive experience in transparency, access to information, and leading non-profit organizations. Dr. Bertoni is the Director of the Access to Public Information Agency of Argentina and currently teaches at Buenos Aires University School of Law and New York University School of Law (Global Clinical Professor). He was Executive Director of DPLF (2006-2009) and a founder and the first director of the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information (CELE) at Palermo University School of Law in Argentina. He was also the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the Organization of American States (2002-2005). He is an Argentinean lawyer and holds a doctorate from Buenos Aires University and a master’s in international policy and practice from the Elliot School of International Affairs of George Washington University. He has written extensively on democracy and human rights, judicial reform, international criminal law, and human rights and the internet.
